THE ARTWORK
La créole is a lithograph on paper, created by Henri Matisse in 1958, is part of a limited edition of 6.500 copies, showcasing a key aspect of his graphic exploration. With his fluid and essential lines, Matisse masterfully distills form and volume into compositions of remarkable harmony and visual balance.

Through his skilled use of lithography, Matisse translates lightness and dynamism onto paper, imbuing the image with a sense of immediacy and vitality.
