Keith Haring - Barking Dog

The lithograph Barking Dog was made by artist Keith Haring in 1982.

The artwork depicts the iconic barking dog, one of Haring's most famous symbols, which first appeared in his 1980-85 series of New York underground drawings.

The dog emerged as a symbol of oppression and aggression, and as a warning to the viewer of the abuses of power that pervade everyday life in America and beyond. Traditionally used by artists to represent loyalty, companionship and obedience, Haring reverses the symbol of the dog to remind viewers to think critically about those who shout the loudest.

Barking Dog measures 23,2x22,2 cm and is hand-signed.
