From October 29, 2025, to January 25, 2026, the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi transforms into a stage for contemporary art thanks to KAWS, one of the most celebrated and influential artists on the international scene.
The new site-specific installation, created in collaboration with the Hillary Merkus Recordati Foundation, represents a surprising encounter between contemporary visual language and Florentine Renaissance architecture.
A Dialogue Between Eras: KAWS and Beato Angelico
Part of the Palazzo Strozzi Future Art program, the project creates an unprecedented dialogue with the exhibition dedicated to Beato Angelico, offering visitors a stimulating comparison between eras, forms, and artistic visions.
KAWS’s installation invites reflection on how art can transcend centuries and reinvent itself in ever-new contexts, while maintaining a unique and immediately recognizable voice.
