Thank you!
On the occasion of Superman Day and ahead of the highly anticipated release of the new film dedicated to the famous DC Comics superhero, scheduled for July, Warner Bros France wanted to pay tribute to the Man of Steel in an original and impactful way: a monumental urban mural signed by one of the most iconic contemporary artists, Mr. Brainwash.
The work, visible at 121 avenue du Général Leclerc, in the heart of the 14th arrondissement in Paris, is an explosive celebration of the Superman character and pop culture in general.
Mr. Brainwash, known for his ability to blend the language of street art with the irony of the advertising world and the visual energy of pop, transforms the image of the superhero into a colorful and joyful poster.
The mural, created especially for the occasion, anticipates the atmosphere of the upcoming film, offering the audience a powerful and memorable visual taste.
Mr. Brainwash-the pseudonym of Thierry Guetta, a French artist active between Los Angeles and Paris-emerged on the international art scene with the documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010), directed by Banksy, which made him known to the general public.
Since then, his style has conquered galleries and urban spaces around the world. His signature style is a blend of optimism, pop culture, art quotes and visual provocation. Slogans such as “Life is Beautiful”, now his recurring signature, have become true symbols of his poetics, which invites the viewer to look at the world with lighter and more confident eyes.
The Parisian mural dedicated to Superman is no exception: with bright colors, dynamic composition, and references to the comic book universe, the work stands as an invitation to still believe in heroes-not only those with capes, but also those of the everyday.
It is a declaration of love to the collective imagination and hope, perfectly in keeping with the spirit of the character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1938.
With this initiative, Warner Bros France not only promotes the cinematic return of one of its most beloved characters, but also reaffirms the deep connection between urban art and popular culture.
A project that brings the superhero epic directly to the streets of Paris, speaking to everyone, young and old, longtime fans and simple passers-by.
