Richard Orlinski: The Wild Show in Bologna

October 18 – December 14, 2025, Galleria Cavour 1959 hosts the major solo exhibition of the renowned French artist

The city of Bologna is ready to welcome an unmissable event for contemporary art lovers: “Richard Orlinski: The Wild Show”, the new solo exhibition by the famous French sculptor, curated by Deodato Arte and organized by Contemporary Concept.

From October 18 to December 14, 2025, in the spaces of Galleria Cavour 1959, visitors will be able to admire about 20 iconic sculptures by the world’s best-selling contemporary artist, in an itinerary that blends beauty, symbolic power, and reflection on our relationship with nature.

The Wild Universe of Richard Orlinski

Born in Paris in 1966, Richard Orlinski began his artistic career in 2006 with the famous Crocodile Rouge, a work that quickly became the manifesto of his sculptural language. Since then, his creations – panthers, lions, gorillas, wolves, and other striking figures – have conquered museums, galleries, and public spaces around the world, from the Musée Soumaya in Mexico City to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, from the Palais Royal in Paris to the landscapes of Courchevel and Monte-Carlo.

With their faceted surfaces and glossy finishes, Orlinski’s sculptures are totems of our time: symbols of strength, resilience, harmony, and freedom.

Each animal becomes a metaphor:

  • The Lion embodies pride and leadership;
  • The Panda evokes the fragility of nature and the need to protect it;
  • The Gorilla Wild Kong, perhaps his most iconic work, radiates pure energy and a spirit of rebellion.

A Global and Cross-Disciplinary Artist

Richard Orlinski is not only a sculptor: he is a versatile creator who moves across art, music, design, and collaborations with luxury brands such as Hublot, Lancôme, Disney, and The Kooples. With over 9 million Instagram followers, he has built an international community that shares his mission: to democratize art, make it accessible to everyone, and bring it into unexpected places – from fashion boutiques to ski slopes.

His Born Wild© project transforms the primal energy of animals into geometric, reflective forms that mirror the viewer’s gaze and invite a direct dialogue with the work.

The Wild Show: Art, Architecture, and Sustainability

The choice of Galleria Cavour 1959 as the exhibition venue is no coincidence. This architectural space, born from a futuristic vision and now directed by Magnolia Srl, has become a cultural landmark in Bologna, with a strong commitment to sustainability and carbon neutrality.

Orlinski’s sculptures, with their wild energy and shining surfaces, enter into perfect dialogue with the gallery’s architecture, reinforcing the idea of a space where art, fashion, and future come together.
