Urban Tide: Mr. Savethewall’s Art Lands at the Genoa International Boat Show

From 18 to 23 September 2025, on the occasion of the 65th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show, art meets the sea in an unprecedented fusion of languages and visions.

The absolute protagonist is Mr. Savethewall (Pierpaolo Perretta), an artist represented by Deodato Arte, who with the Urban Tide project will transform the prestigious VIP Lounge into a true contemporary gallery on the water.

A journey through icons and new explorations

The artist will present 26 works, ranging from iconic masterpieces to brand-new creations, narrating the evolution of his poetic vision. From the evocative power of language in the Magic of Language series, to the immediate impact of Unmistakable, up to the famous frogs – beloved by the public and protagonists of the Kiss Me Cordusio project – the works will guide visitors along a path that blends provocation, poetry, and reflection.

Among the most anticipated novelties is Onda, a work from the Magic of Language series, which conceals within it – visible under UV light – a poem by Gabriele D’Annunzio. A creation that evokes the fluidity and strength of water, in perfect harmony with the nautical theme of the event.

Art as water: fluid and universal

“Urban art is like water: it adapts, it is fluid yet powerful, it speaks a universal language without ever losing its essence,” explains Mr. Savethewall. And just like the waves caressing the hulls of yachts, his art naturally “invades” the VIP Lounge, offering the audience an immersive and surprising experience.

At the Boat Show, visitors will also be able to discover the artist’s latest experiments with innovative materials such as lightweight marble, also used in the nautical sector, thus creating an ideal bridge between design, technology, and contemporary art.

A special return for Deodato Arte

Deodato Salafia, founder of Deodato Arte, emphasizes the significance of this participation:

“In another time, I experienced the Genoa Boat Show as an industry professional; returning today with aesthetic and artistic content is deeply moving. Art and yachting share the quest for forms that can interpret the present and look towards the future.”

Mr. Savethewall: the “gentleman of street art”

Nicknamed the “gentleman of street art” for his opposition to illegal graffiti, Mr. Savethewall has created a unique and recognizable language, capable of moving from the street to galleries without losing authenticity.

His philosophy is based on Post Street Art, a reflection on the evolution of the movement within the art system, blending irony, provocation, and conceptual depth.

Thus, Urban Tide is much more than an exhibition: it is an artistic tide bringing the voice of urban art into the heart of one of the world’s most prestigious nautical events.

An unmissable opportunity to experience the Genoa Boat Show from a new perspective, suspended between sea and art.
